*Update*: The 2020 Arizona Open, an AMA Featured Event, scheduled for Dec. 3-6, has been added to the upcoming races that will provide AMA Road to Supercross points.

Due to the cancellation of the remaining 2020 Supercross Futures rounds, including the 2020 Supercross Futures, an AMA National Championship, the following modifications have been made to the AMA Road to Supercross. Please note this update is only for the 2020 points-earning season.

Four points to earn 250SX license.- 250 Futures points must be earned in a continuous 24-month period.

Previously accounted for races:-

-  Top 20 riders overall in the 250A class from the 2020 Daytona Ricky Carmichael Amateur Supercross earn 2 points.

-  Top 20 riders overall in the 250 Pro Sport class from the 2020 Monster Energy AMA Amateur National. Motocross Championship earn 2 points.

Upcoming events that will provide AMA Road to Supercross points:-

Riders who have qualified for a 250SX license through the AMA Road to Supercross have two competition seasons to apply for their licenses before they will have to requalify. For example, a rider who qualified for a 250SX license during the 2020 Supercross Futures season may apply in 2021 or 2022. To apply for a 250SX license, after acquiring the necessary number of points, go to amasupercross.com and click on “Online Registration” and the “Forms” tab.

If you have questions, contact AMA Supercross Coordinator Connie Fleming at cfleming@ama-cycle.org or (614) 856-1910 ext. 1258.

AMA-licensed riders who have not competed in AMA-sanctioned events for a period of three years may lose their prior classification.

Applicants renewing a license that expired more than 3 years ago must meet present requirements for a Supercross license. This requirement may be waived under special circumstances through an appeal made to the AMA.
